English

All English classes prepare students for continuing education after high school and are aligned with the California Language Arts Standards.  Students acquiring English may take their required courses in the sheltered English program.  Students in the resource program will participate in the collaborative consultation model program provided by the Alameda High School special education class.

All English classes designated P qualify for entrance into the UC system, the Cal State system, as well as other colleges and universities.  Students must, of course, earn average or above average grades in these classes.
