Tuesday, February 9--Honor
Today's principle from A Season for Nonviolence is HONOR. Albert Einstein said, "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is." Before each meal this week, stop and honor all the hands that brought it to you and bless the earth for its bounty.
The Season for Nonviolence celebrates the nonviolent teachings of India's Mahatma Gandhi and America's Martin Luther King, Jr. and Cesar Chavez. Each day from now until April 4, we will have a reading about how we can help the world to become more safe and peaceful.
Through these readings, we can learn to practice nonviolence one step at a time, one choice at a time, one day at a time. This is how each of us, in our own way, can move the world in the direction of peace.
For more information about the Season of Nonviolence, see this document.
Students in Ms. Szeto's Multimedia Art class create original compositions using shapes and contours to explore space and depth.
If you have not had a chance to go to Studio One in Dublin to take your senior portrait for the yearbook, Studio One will be on the AHS campus to take your photo on Tuesday, February 9, from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in Room 32.
Please see this bulletin about thefts of electronic devices at AHS.
