Thursday, February 11--Smiling
Today’s principle from the Season for Nonviolence is SMILING, which is the most basic kind of peace work. Your smiles today can help the world to become more peaceful and may open the door to a new friendship! Why not give it a try?
The Season for Nonviolence celebrates the nonviolent teachings of India's Mahatma Gandhi and America's Martin Luther King, Jr. and Cesar Chavez. Each day from now until April 4, we will have a reading about how we can help the world to become more safe and peaceful.
Through these readings, we can learn to practice nonviolence one step at a time, one choice at a time, one day at a time. This is how each of us, in our own way, can move the world in the direction of peace.
For more information about the Season of Nonviolence, see this document.
Students in Ms. Szeto's Multimedia Art class create original compositions using shapes and contours to explore space and depth.
